The Official Trailer for “Hamilton” Is Out and We Can’t Wait for July 3

When I first heard about Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton I was smug in my certainty that there was simply no way I was going to enjoy a rap/musical about Alexander Hamilton. Boy, was I wrong. Hamilton is hands down the most engaging, educational, entertaining show I have ever seen.

And now there is reason for elation because the Tony award-winning show is coming to Disney +…and as the Hamilton musical Instagram account says, “Shout it to the rooftops.” And now, with the release of the movie trailer, we are counting the days until the July 3 premier.

Hamilton movie trailer, now we REALLY can’t wait:

Watch “Hamilton” beginning July 3 on Disney+

Originally slated to be released in October 2021, the release date of the Hamilton movie has been pushed up and it is with the original Broadway cast. And this show is the PERFECT balm for these trying times. If your teens and young adult children haven’t seen it, they MUST.

In a statement, Lin-Manuel gushed,

I’m so proud of how beautifully Tommy Kail has brought ‘Hamilton’ to the screen. He’s given everyone who watches this film the best seat in the house and it’s a thrilling experience…I’m so grateful to Disney and Disney Plus for reimagining and moving up our release to July 4 weekend of this year, in light of the world turning upside down. I’m so grateful to all the fans who asked for this, and I’m so glad that we’re able to make it happen. I’m so proud of this show. I can’t wait for you to see it.

Broadway is currently dark. Getting tickets for the show was always challenging because of high demand and cost was prohibitive for many, but now we can all see this amazing show (Disney + has a $6.99 monthly fee).

We here at Grown and Flown can’t wait.
