Ben Platt and the Dear Evan Hansen Cast Sing “You Will Be Found” and It’s Remarkable

In case you missed this, you really need to watch this. Ben Platt joined the touring cast of the show Dear Evan Hansen to sing “You Will Be Found” on James Corden’s Homefest. Start 2:21 minutes into the video if you want to see the performance and prepare to be blown away.

I have to admit that I was never the biggest fan of the show, but this is an amazing performance and the lyrics seem to be written especially for us and for this moment in time.

Especially the refrain:

Even when the dark comes crashing through

When you need a friend to carry you

And when you’re broken on the ground

You will be found

So let the sun come streaming in

‘Cause you’ll reach up and you’ll rise again

Lift your head and look around

You will be found

Folks, the dark has come crashing through in a big way, in a shocking way, in a way no one could have foreseen or expected and we are all broken. But we are also all in this together and that’s how we are going to get through this, together.

So, close your eyes, listen to this and let the tears flow. Thank you to Ben Platt and company for this gift.
