Celebrating Our Grads: Parents Are Finding a New Way

Our seniors deserve to be celebrated. They deserve the praise and congratulations that every generation before them has enjoyed. But for many grads, it’s not to be. With stay-at-home orders still in place, many of the class of 2020 will not be able to enjoy the prom, senior week, skip day, graduation and ensuing parties that are the milestones of 13 years of education.

As parents our hearts are breaking a bit for them (though we have no doubt that this is what’s necessary for our community and our nation) and a tiny bit for ourselves as well.

We parents are an industrious lot, known to innovate when it comes to cheering our kids on. Let us share with you a few of the ways that parents are creating a small celebration of their seniors for their families and towns to enjoy.

We love you and congratulations Class of 2020!!!!
