This time of year dads get a lot of attention. This Sunday there will be gifts and dinners and lots of well- deserved recognition for all that they do. But what about stepdads? What about the men who come into our lives later but sometimes do much of the heavy lifting? What about the stepdads who become real dads, the ones we can always count on?
This year for Father’s Day, Budweiser took a long look at three families where through time, patience and being stand-up guys, stepdads became “real dads.” Three grown kids reflect on what these wonderful men have meant in their lives. Then they ask their stepdads a question that brings the dads, the kids and the viewers to tears.
We all know that families are about love, not biology and this celebration of stepparents reminds us of this once again. Do yourself a favor and watch to the end.
