Valerie Schenk
Valerie Schenk is a freelance writer based in Roy, Utah. Previous articles and poetry have been featured in the New Era and Liahona magazines, Parent Co., and the book “Little Libraries, Big Hearts: The Wit and Wisdom of Little Library Keepers” edited by Terry Faust. Valarie is a lifelong promoter of literature and spends a great deal of her time tutoring budding readers. She is the steward of three local “Little Free Libraries” and lovingly curates the collection donated to the cause. She primarily defines herself as a volunteer and has donated her time to local causes as well as such organizations as Girl Scouts of Utah, American Youth Soccer Organization and AmeriCorps. She dabbles in the arts, engrosses herself in learning new things, and prides herself at redefining the limits of “normal”. You will most often find Valarie home surrounded by her husband and three children.
