Sharon Jacques

Dr. Sharon W. Jacques received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in 1988 and trained at the Children’s Hospital in San Diego, and the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in La Jolla, California. Since 1991, she has held staff positions at the Gaebler Children’s Center, a residential treatment center in Danvers, MA; the Eating Disorders Service of North Shore Children’s Hospital in Salem, MA; and at New England Memorial Hospital, north of Boston, as staff psychologist of a Family Medicine Primary Care Practice.
In 1994, Dr. Jacques co-founded Psychological Care Associates, P.C. (PCA), a multi-specialty behavioral health practice which, at the time of its sale in 2018, comprised five outpatient offices, fifteen partnership primary care practices affiliated with three major teaching hospital systems in the Boston area in which PCA clinicians were embedded, and a ninety multi-disciplinary professional staff. Dr. Jacques directed PCA’s New Patient Triage Service and served as the primary liaison between PCA and the hundreds of Primary Care Physicians’ practices which use the practice for their patients’ behavioral health needs.
In addition to her administrative and supervisory responsibilities, Dr. Jacques provided couples classes, consultation and psychotherapy for couples in PCA’s Woburn, MA Office. She has trained in Couples Therapy with prominent leaders in the field, including Drs. Bader & Pearson of Menlo Park CA, Terrence Real in Cambridge, MA & Pia Mellody at The Meadows in Wickenburg, AZ, and completed Advance Training in Divorce Mediation with the Conflict Resolution Institute in 2011.
Dr. Jacques has developed and presented classes and training programs in Couples Therapy for over 25 years, and guest lectured at the Tufts University School of Medicine from 2006 through 2009 on the topic of Family Systems: Couples & Divorce.
