Dr. Philip Glotzbach
href=”https://www.skidmore.edu/skidmorehistory/centennial/leaders/philip-glotzbach.php”>Dr. Philip A. Glotzbach served for seventeen years as president of Skidmore College. Prior to arriving at Skidmore, Glotzbach served as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and then Vice President for Academic Affairs for eleven years at the University of Redlands. Before that, he taught for fifteen years in the Department of Philosophy at Denison University.
Glotzbach earned his B.A. in Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame, and his M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Philosophy at Yale University. He has received honorary degrees from Centre College, Denison University, and Skidmore College.
He is the author of Embrace Your Freedom: Winning Strategies to Succeed in College and in Life (July, 2024) and other books.
