Jennifer Taber VanDerwerken is a freelance writer. She began her career in book publishing, first in New York City at St. Martin’s Press, and then in Boston at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. She was the lead writer for the award-winning Beekman 1802 Almanac, where she contributed features, artisan profiles, travel guides, food writing, and personal essays. She has written extensively about motherhood, both locally and nationally, for Scary Mommy, Mini City Magazine and Mother.ly. Jennifer has been featured on Design Mom and Cup of Jo.
