Cindy Kolbe has been a lifelong disability advocate—even before her daughter’s spinal cord injury. The second edition of her memoir is Just Keep Swimming: a crash, a quest, and waves of hope. It chronicles a mom’s crisis, a daughter’s paralysis, and extraordinary travels that carry them from a small town in Ohio to Harvard and around the world. Cindy lives near Boston and presents workshops at Abilities Expos across the country.
