BTW, you can find all the top Recommendation Sunday items (those that exist on Amazon) on our Grown and Flown Amazon store. Note: We receive compensation from purchases made through some of the links in this post.

Test optional colleges that do not require students to take the SAT or ACT for admission.
My daughter had a great gpa in hard classes and had a lot of things going for her and totally bombed her SAT and ACT. Thankfully there are many test optional schools now and she was accepted to one with a very generous merit award (they never saw her test scores and based it on everything else) and she is thriving!
Taking photos and putting yourself in them, too.
In looking for pics of my Mom – there weren’t many without my Dad or some of us kids or the grands hanging on her. (Then again, family defined her life) But my kids would be hard pressed to find any pics of me. Understandable if you didn’t want to “waste” film back in the day but in this digital age, there’s no excuse. So, I recommend taking pics of of a person, place or thing every day!
