“A Welcome Home Christmas:” Lifetime’s Holiday Movie Salutes Veterans

I love this time of year — the days get cooler and it’s the perfect excuse to snuggle up with your family (or alone) and watch all the good holiday movies.

Anyone who knows me in real life realizes the holiday season starts for me at the end of October. I always try and wait until after Thanksgiving to get into the holiday spirit, but then I realize life is short and I should just do what I want.

This is why I am all in and fully prepared. By that I mean my cabinets are stocked with hot cocoa mix, donuts, the ingredients to make my favorite cookies, and I dug out the furry winter blankets.

A Welcome Home Christmas airs November 11 at 8PM ET on Lifetime

A Welcome Home Christmas, starting Jana Kramer, Brandon Quinn, Tim Reid, Charlene Tilton, and Craig Morgan airs on Thursday, November 11th and I was lucky enough to get access to it in my hot little hands early when it first premiered last year.

(This post is in paid partnership with Lifetime but the review and opinions are 100% my own.)

All I can say after watching A Welcome Home Christmas, is I advise you not to miss it.

The leading lady, Chloe, is an army veteran who’s knee-deep in helping others and volunteers her time to things like the town’s annual toy drive — a good reminder that even when we are busy, we make time for what’s important to us. And nothing could be more meaningful than finding time to do that — especially after the last year-and-a-half we’ve all been through.

Chloe is a Big Sister to an adorable girl named Savannah whose parents can’t come home for Christmas because they are deployed over the holidays. Michael is a Veteran who was honorably discharged from the army. He and Chloe live in the same town. He meets Chloe and the two work together to make this year one the kids will never forget.

On a side note, I have to mention the decor which is incredible — I’m talking exposed brick, classic Christmas decorations, and more twinkling lights than you can imagine. This movie made me want to empty my bank account at the nearest Home Goods store.

Also, Chloe’s boot game is strong and if anyone can tell me where she gets all her cute booties, please let me know!

Will Michael and Chloe become a couple?

Of course (without giving too much away) everyone is pining for Chloe and Michael to become an item. They certainly do look great together and have been through similar experiences.

This movie left me feeling full of joy (and like I need to volunteer more). I loved the sets, the characters, and the chemistry between Chloe and Michael kept me hooked. It really got me revved up for the upcoming holiday season.

An added bonus is you’ll crave hot cocoa like you never have before. But, don’t take my word for it. You’ll just have to watch A Welcome Home Christmas to see what I mean. So, set up your DVR, download the Lifetime app — do whatever it takes to watch the amazing Christmas movie lineup that Lifetime has in store.

Now more than ever, we all benefit from watching joyous stories. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
